Product Description
Tipi-style shelters have been built and lived in by many peoples for centuries. The impressive height of the space amazes anyone who steps inside for the first time. True to this tradition, the Skandika Tipi Kuopio 400 Protect is designed as one large open area where you can sleep, eat and simply live together.
Up to 8 people can roll out their sleeping bags and spend the night comfortably in the Skandika Tipi Kuopio 400 Protect. It’s also perfect for glamping for two or as a striking party tent.
A real space wonder with 2.5 m height
This large tipi tent offers comfortable sleeping space for up to 8 people. With an overall diameter of 400 cm and a height of 250 cm, it still feels spacious and airy even when it’s full. The impressive height makes a big impact on anyone entering this holiday home in Native American style.
Glamping – the luxurious way to camp
The tipi really comes into its own when glamping. It doesn’t always have to sleep 8 people. For glamorous camping as a couple, there’s plenty of room for a proper bed or sofa, small furniture, plants and all kinds of decorations. Add some lamps and fairy lights and the tipi glows at night like a beautiful oversized lantern.
Giving old materials a new life
The tent fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester: new polyester fibres are spun from post-consumer waste. This helps reduce the use of raw materials such as petroleum and supports a more resource-friendly way to enjoy the outdoors.
Fully weatherproof and secure
With a 3,000 mm hydrostatic head, a fully sewn-in groundsheet and strong steel poles, the Kuopio 400 Protect stands rock solid and can handle even poor weather conditions. The UV protection rating of UPF 50+ increases the tent’s longevity, helps it heat up less quickly in the sun and contributes to a more pleasant indoor climate.
Doors with a view and protection
The large entrance offers easy access to the interior and features practical double doors: a weatherproof outer door to keep everything inside nice and dry, plus an inner mesh door that keeps insects out while still letting in fresh air and light.
Proven tipi ventilation concept
Four crescent-shaped mesh windows provide plenty of fresh air and can be closed from the inside when you want more privacy. Additional openings at the peak of the roof are protected by mesh and an outer cover, contributing to the tried-and-tested ventilation concept for which tipis are so popular.
Comfortable and practical interior
Several organiser pockets keep important small items close to hand and help even the messiest campers stay organised. A metal ring at the top of the centre pole is ideal for hanging a camping lantern, and a weather-protected cable entry allows you to bring power safely into the tent.
Optimal use of floor space
Thanks to a single central pole and the smart triangular support structure at the entrance, the entire floor area can be used efficiently. And when the trip is over, the robust carry bag makes transporting and storing the tipi clean and easy.
Many creative uses
The Kuopio 400 Protect isn’t just ideal for glamping for two or for families and groups of friends holidaying together. This impressive tipi is also a fantastic choice for the next music festival, or as an overnight and party space for special occasions in the garden.
