Our popular Egersund tents for 5 or 7 people with fully sewn-in groundsheet are now joined by a slightly larger version featuring Skandika Sleeper Technology – a special coating on the outer tent – and darkened sleeping cabins. This stable, weatherproof tent is an excellent choice for families camping with children or groups of friends who value comfort and peaceful nights.
Plenty of space and comfort
Spacious tunnel tent for up to 5 people with an enlarged living area for that extra bit of comfort. Quick to pitch and with a generous standing height of 200 cm, the Egersund 5 XL Sleeper Protect is ideal for family camping trips or weekends away with friends.
Skandika Sleeper Technology
On this tent, a special coating has been applied to the outer tent in the area above the sleeping cabin, absorbing almost 100% of sunlight. Enjoy longer lie-ins, get the kids to bed earlier or take a midday nap – the darkened bedrooms make it all possible and far more relaxing.
Flexible sleeping cabins
For extra flexibility, the cabin can be left with the mosquito mesh closed so fresh air can circulate while insects stay outside. When needed, the cabin can be divided with a roll-up partition to create separate sleeping areas.
Fully sewn-in groundsheet
The Egersund 5 XL Sleeper Protect comes with a fully sewn-in groundsheet for all-round protection from bad weather, draughts and rising damp. It also keeps out unwanted creepy crawlies so the interior stays clean and comfortable.
Reliable weather protection
Robust fibreglass poles and a 5,000 mm water column on the outer tent protect you reliably from strong wind and heavy rain. The tent fabric also offers UV protection of UPF 50+, helping prevent the outer material from becoming brittle or cracked under strong sunlight and extending the life of the tent.
Two entrances
The front entrance features a clever canopy, and with the two included upright poles the side entrance can be turned into a shade-giving sun canopy. Whether at the front or rear entrance, you can quickly create a sheltered, shady spot wherever the sun is shining.
Smart windows
Five clear windows keep the inside bright even when the doors are closed. Three of them also have mosquito mesh inserts to promote airflow and ventilation. All windows come with blinds so you can darken the interior and enjoy privacy whenever you wish.
Great features throughout
Organizer pockets help even the messiest campers keep their gear tidy, and a practical ceiling hook lets you hang a camping lantern for cosy evenings. Weather-protected cable openings make it easy to bring power into the tent for lights, chargers and other devices.
