The skandika Västervik 5 is a spacious dome tent with a large porch area that looks right at home on both family campsites and festival fields. A clever highlight is the sleeping cabin’s side windows: they can be closed from the outside, fully waterproof, without anyone having to step out into heavy rain.
Closable side windows
The two side windows in the outer tent can be closed from the outside to make them fully private and weatherproof – yet you don’t have to leave the tent to do it. Zips in the mesh of the cabin dome let you reach through easily and operate the outer flaps from inside.
Wind and weather protection
In good weather, large mesh windows provide plenty of fresh air and a bright, welcoming feel inside the cabin. When it turns windy or wet, the outer tent with its 3,000 mm water column and carefully welded seams keeps everything dry, clean and sheltered.
Multiple entrances
This smart tent comes with three entrances. The front door features a clear film window that fills the living area with light and can be darkened when needed. Alternatively, the main door can be set up as a sun canopy at the front to create a shaded outdoor space.
Easy pitching
Unlike most skandika tents, with the Västervik you pitch the sleeping cabin first. The outer tent is then thrown over the top as weather protection and, together with an additional pole, forms the spacious porch area.
Generous living space
The porch living area is the perfect place to relax on cooler evenings and offers extra room for luggage and camping gear. A matching groundsheet for this living space is included.
