Yasei Dropshot mid-range rods have an extra-fast action, specially designed to maximize your casting efficiency. Beautifully balanced and equipped with some of the most sensitive tips on the market to maximise bite detection, the lower part of the rod is highly responsive to strike at the slightest touch.Shimano has a long history of manufacturing high-quality casting rods and the Yasei Dropshot is no exception. From the ultra-sensitive tip that can detect the lightest pulls and bottom characteristics, to a powerful blank that increases reaction speed, every detail has been meticulously developed to give you optimum performance. Available in two lengths, the 2.10 m Medium Light version has a working range of 5-18 g, suitable for short-range work and around bridges or obstacles, while the longer 2.40 m Medium version has a working range of 7-21 g and is more suited to fishing further out in open water or where there's more current. These two models will balance a 2000 or 2500 size reel perfectly, giving you a combination that any fishing expert street fishing would be proud to use.The superb sensitivity of the Yasei Dropshot comes from the solid TAFTEC tip, which is an exclusive technology from Shimano. This allows finer, more sensitive tips to be used, while retaining the reserve power needed to cope with fighting fish. The main body of the rod is made from a Full Carbon High Modulus blank, constructed using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces the torsion of the blank when casting, allowing greater accuracy when fishing close quarters and better control when fighting larger predators.To further increase finesse and overall performance, the rods are fitted with newly designed Fuji Alconite K-type guides, lightweight and adapted to the fine-diameter braids used for perch.In keeping with the high-quality design, a Fuji IPS reel seat is mounted on the two-piece EVA handle, giving this range a modern appearance that matches its excellent fishing performance.
