Camalot Z4 Offset Black Diamond RigidFlex Cams 10.4–16.3 mm 5 kN

Product Description

Product Features

• Camalot Z4 Offset 0.1-0.2 designed by Black Diamond for reliable placement in irregular cracks thanks to the offset cam design
• RigidFlex bar that remains rigid during handling and then softens in position to reduce drag
• Sanded cams increasing friction for better grip and reduced loosening
• Independent floating wires and single/double cable construction depending on size to avoid bending under load
• Lightweight and durable Dynex loop and narrow head for placements in tight joints
• Color-coded sizes and clamping range 10.4-16.3 mm with a strength of 5 kN

Design and Ergonomics

The Camalot Z4 Offset 0.1-0.2 features the RigidFlex bar that provides a comfortable grip and ease of placement. The stem remains rigid during handling for precise positioning, then softens once installed to minimize unwanted forces during use.

Performance and Safety

Sanded cams increase friction on the crack wall, improving pull-out resistance and anchor safety. The device has a certified breaking load of 5 kN and a clamping range of 10.4–16.3 mm, specifically optimized for small cracks.

Construction and Materials

The differentiated cable construction (double twist on larger sizes, single cable on smaller ones) ensures controlled bending and a reduced profile for small models. The Dyneema (Dynex) loop ensures lightness and robustness without compromising durability.

Use in Irregular Cracks

The offset cam profile and two-axis system allow for secure placement even in uneven or chipped joints, making the Camalot Z4 Offset suitable for traditional climbing and technical placements.
