Ice Axe North-X Salewa 530mm

Product Description

The Salewa North-X-Hammer is an advanced, technical ice axe designed for mountaineering, ice climbing, and conquering challenging, steep terrain. Thanks to its well-thought-out design and modern features, it offers unparalleled functionality, safety, and comfort on glaciers, in firn, and mixed terrain. A key feature of the ice axe is its ergonomic, adjustable armrest, which automatically moves upwards during snow climbing, promoting smooth movement and conserving energy. On steep ice or rock, the armrest locks under load, guaranteeing solid support. An integrated elastic anchor line provides additional security and belaying, including when setting the shaft. The balanced weight, 20-degree shaft bend, steel head, and aggressive pick ensure precise, effective placement in a variety of terrain. The thermally insulated handle increases comfort during prolonged use in low temperatures, and the replaceable tip provides excellent grip during descents. It's a versatile tool for ambitious climbers.
