Folding Design for Travel and Compact Storage
Sonder is designed for riders who want an electric bicycle that is easier to transport and store. Its folding 6061 aluminium frame reduces the overall footprint for carrying in a car, camper or suitable storage area. The main folding joint uses an additional safety lock, while the steering section features a secure locking system to keep the structure firmly positioned during riding.
250W Rear Motor with Torque-Sensing Assistance
The 48V 250W brushless rear hub motor delivers up to 40Nm of torque. A torque sensor measures the pressure applied to the pedals and adjusts motor assistance accordingly, providing a direct and precise response during starts, changes of pace and gradients. Five assistance levels allow riders to select the amount of support required for each journey.
480Wh Removable Battery with up to 85km Range
The removable 48V 10Ah battery provides 480Wh of capacity and an assisted range of up to 85km under favourable conditions. Lower assistance levels can help conserve battery capacity for longer journeys, while higher levels provide additional support for hills and frequent starts. Actual range varies according to rider weight, terrain, temperature, tyre pressure, assistance level and riding style.
Front and Rear Suspension for Added Ride Comfort
The adjustable oil-and-spring front suspension fork works together with rear suspension to help reduce impacts from damaged pavement, road joints and uneven routes. Chaoyang 20" × 2.0" puncture-resistant city tyres are designed for efficient rolling and stable handling on streets, cycle routes and paved surfaces.
Hydraulic Brakes and Shimano 9-Speed Gearing
Fully hydraulic disc brakes provide progressive and controllable braking for urban traffic, descents and unfamiliar routes. The Shimano 9-speed drivetrain offers a wide selection of mechanical gears for flatter roads, changing gradients and longer-distance riding.
Lightweight Folding Format with Practical Equipment
Sonder weighs approximately 22.1kg with the battery installed and 19.1kg without it. When folded, it measures approximately 94 × 42 × 75cm. Front lighting and an integrated rear light improve visibility in low-light conditions, while the colour display keeps important riding information easy to check.
