Fantastic sky view
The Tonsberg 5 Protect features a panoramic roof made entirely from mesh, giving you an unobstructed view of the sky. Fresh air, plenty of daylight and a clear view of the stars at night – it almost feels like you’re sleeping out in the open, but with the comfort and protection of a proper tent.
Single-skin design
Unlike most skandika tents, the Tonsberg 5 Protect is a single-skin tent: there is no separate inner tent to hang. The inner wall between the living area and the sleeping area is permanently sewn to the outer tent, so the inside feels like one connected space and set-up is simpler and quicker.
Weather protection when you need it
A separate roof cover is included to protect the mesh roof in bad weather. It can be pulled over the tent in seconds and securely fixed with hooks and guy lines. As soon as the weather improves, you can remove it just as quickly and go back to enjoying the open panoramic roof.
Entrance as a sun canopy
The large, weatherproof front door has an integrated mosquito mesh and offers extra flexibility. It can be rolled up and secured out of the way, or – using the supplied poles – set up as a sun canopy to create welcome shade at the entrance on hot, sunny days.
Fresh air without insects
All doors and windows are equipped with mosquito mesh, and the fully sewn-in groundsheet keeps draughts and creepy-crawlies outside. This ensures plenty of light and good airflow without insects getting in. When you want more privacy or a darker sleeping space, all mesh panels can be covered.
