Product Description
The Giro Tor Spherical is the ski helmet for anyone who hits the first run in the morning and heads out on a backcountry tour in the afternoon. Fit, protection, ventilation, and Look are all top-notch: Spherical Technology with MIPS, adjustable Thermostat Control ventilation, a Fidlock magnetic closure, and a liner that remains comfortable even after a long day.
Giro Tor Spherical: MIPS Spherical Technology for maximum protection
Spherical Technology powered by MIPS consists of two helmet shells that shift relative to each other in the event of a fall, thereby reducing the rotational energy that acts on the brain during oblique impacts. You can open and close the Thermostat Control ventilation system with a slider, depending on the weather and your activity level. You can adjust the In Form 2 Fit System to your head circumference using a dial, and the Fidlock buckle closes magnetically with one hand. Inside, the Wikpro Grid Fleece lining provides warmth and wicks away moisture.

Piste, freeride, and ski touring. Measure your head circumference above your ears and eyebrows, and choose the size that falls within that range. Use the dial to fine-tune the helmet’s fit.
Care
Remove the inner lining and wash it by hand; clean the helmet only with mild soapy water. Replace the helmet after a hard fall, even if there is no visible damage.
What is the difference between MIPS and Spherical Technology? Both reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall. With Spherical Technology, the two-piece helmet shell itself handles this, rather than a thin sliding layer inside the helmet. This provides greater comfort and better ventilation.
What size do I need? Measuring head circumference: M fits 55.5 to 59 cm, L fits 59 to 62.5 cm. If your measurement is on the borderline, choose the smaller size and adjust it with the dial.
Will the helmet fit with my ski goggles? Yes, the Tor is designed to work with Giro goggles and, thanks to the goggle clip, is compatible with most other brands.
Can I close the vents? Yes, with the Thermostat Control slider, you can adjust the ventilation continuously from open to closed.
Is the helmet suitable for ski touring? Yes, thanks to its good ventilation and light weight, it’s comfortable even during the ascent. It meets the ski helmet standard, not the climbing helmet standard.
