Design & style:
This bridle has a dynamic design that takes your horse's anatomy into account. The sleek, elegant lines feature contrasting white topstitching. This very first version of the anatomical bridle 900 comes in light brown leather and dark brown leather with a navy lining.
Anatomic head piece design:
The neck is generally subject to pressure from the bridle head piece as well as from the rider's contact with the cheekpieces. To avoid this, we created a head piece that frees up the back of the head and the cervical vertebrae with a bridge design that includes two soft foam pads on either side of the neck.
Anatomical head piece and brow band design:
The lower part of the head piece is preformed to free the back of the ears, a very sensitive area, which in turn helps relax the horse's mouth. Similarly, we designed the brow band with small fittings on the lower part of the head piece to avoid pressure on the top of the brow and temples.
Anatomic cheekpiece design:
The two cheekpieces and noseband are attached by a side loop to distribute pressure from contact from the hand between the neck and noseband instead of between the bit and neck.
Anatomic noseband design:
The back of the noseband has two D-rings so the lower section can move into place to fit your horse's head. The noseband is fully removable to make it easy to put on and take off.
Jowl strap design:
Instead of a regular throatlash, we created a jowl strap so you can adjust the bridle and noseband position on your horse's head. It needs to be slightly tightened and helps separate the cheekpieces away from the bit and the bridle from your horse's eyes.
Reduced chafing:
High-pressure areas are lined with soft foam padding to improve the horse's comfort. You will find this padding on the head piece, especially on the neck, brow band and noseband. All the fittings that can exert pressure are also lined with padding to reduce chafing as much as possible.
Rein combinations:
This bridle was specially developed with the reins 900 with pimples. These reins feature the same details, finishes and leather colours.
Sizing:
The bridle 900 is available in two sizes: Cob (CS) and horse (FS). CS size is suitable for small-headed horses and section D ponies with large, long heads. FS is suitable for most saddle horses. The sizing fits a broader range of medium and large horses thanks to the many adjustment options.
How to check that your bridle is properly fitted
A few simple movements allow you to check the adjustment of your bridle. You can slip a finger between the horse's face and brow band to check if it is too tight and pressing against any sensitive areas. You can then slip a finger between the head piece and back of the ears to check if it is pressing too tightly against the ears. During the first few uses, remember to check for signs of the bridle chafing your horse's head.
A well-adjusted noseband:
The noseband adjustment has a strong influence on how relaxed your horse is. We recommend that you slip a finger between the horse's face and the noseband and two fingers between the noseband and the cheeks. If you have any doubts about how to adjust it, seek professional help. The noseband is not always necessary depending on the horse's needs. The noseband on the bridle 900 can easily be removed without any empty loops showing.
Care advice:
To keep your bridle in good condition, we recommend cleaning it regularly with glycerine soap applied using a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then hydrate your leather with grease applied using a household or special leather cloth. If you feel that the leather is rough and dry, you can also use a hydrating conditioner that will nourish your leather.
