    How waterproof is it?

    Reliable protection thanks to its waterproof rating of 20,000mm H2O (Schmerbers)! This jacket features an efficient three-layer membrane, taped seams and protected zips to provide a strong barrier against the elements. You will stay dry and comfortable, even in heavy rain.

    A highly breathable jacket

    The challenge that waterproof jackets face? Keeping water out while wicking away inside moisture! This jacket solves this complex issue with its highly breathable fabric (RET=6) and large side openings. The result: maximum moisture wicking for optimal comfort.

    Any details about the fit?

    Fitted cut with 13% elastane and raglan sleeves all the way up to the neckline for greater stretch. A design that frees up your movements when hiking. Can be layered with a fleece or a lightweight padded jacket. Tip: choose your usual size if you like a fitted jacket, or a size up if you prefer a looser fit.

    The hood’s added bonus

    The attached hood is adjustable in height and depth thanks to an elastic drawcord. Stiff visor for maximum face protection.

    What are Schmerbers?

    The Schmerber rating assesses how waterproof a fabric is when faced with water pressure: the higher the value, the better its waterproofing properties! With a rating of 20,000mm H2O, this jacket can withstand the equivalent of a 20m water column. What does this mean in practical terms? You needn’t worry even in heavy rain.

    Why choose a three-layer component?

    The three-layer structure features an ultra-fine polyurethane membrane between the inner and outer layers. Protected by a knitted fabric, it ensures optimal waterproofing and breathability, while being more flexible and lightweight than a standard coating.

    What is a RET index?

    The RET value indicates if a fabric is breathable and can naturally wick perspiration outwards. The golden rule? The lower the value, the better the performance! A RET value of 6 places this jacket at the top of the scale: <6 = extremely breathable, <12 = highly breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.

    How can I preserve the water-repellent properties?

    Water repellency means that water slides off the fabric without seeping in. This external treatment wears off over time, but can easily be reactivated. To do so, place your jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature or use a re-waterproofing spray (ref. 8938490).
