1200D Horse and Pony Waterproof Rug Allweather Combo - Black

We've adjusted all of our sizings to keep horses more comfortable. The rug comes higher up the neck and is fitted so that it won't slip down. We've made it roomier on the shoulders and shaped it to snugly fit the back and relieve tension on the withers. The crossover chest fastening gives the horse more freedom when lowering its head.

Our new Combo system allows you to combine one of our stable rugs (Combo 50 and 300 rugs) with this waterproof rug. The 4 attachments allow you to easily switch from a comfortable stable rug to a warm, waterproof turnout rug that is just as comfortable. You can also use each of the COMBO system rugs on its own.

To ensure waterproofing, we've designed this breathable 1200D rug with a cut that provides greater protection to the horse. It can also be paired with our Combo rugs for greater warmth without water seeping in. However, only use of the rug with the neck cover will guarantee full waterproofing.

It's important to pick the right size of rug. If it's too big, it could slide around, but if it's too small, the horse could tear it. To stop the rug slipping down, make sure that you tighten the chest straps properly. The crossed girth straps as well as the leg straps should not be too tight or too loose, to avoid irritating the horse or risk getting the hindlimbs caught, and to prevent the rug from slipping sideways.

Rugs should be regularly cleaned. When left for long periods of time, dried urine and manure can damage the rug. A dirty rug can cause skin irritation. Before removing the rug, remove any dust using a brush. All Fouganza rugs are machine washable at 30°C (without fabric conditioner).

Leg straps and chest snap hooks are available from our after-sales service in case you need to replace them if lost or broken.
