    Protection from rain

    The waterproof bucket hat 520 is designed with water-repellent fabric and taped inner seams to offer very effective protection against the rain.
    Fabric resistant to water pressure up to 5000mm after ageing (5 washes). It can resist heavy rain (100L/m²/h) for approximately three hours. Its large visor design was also designed to improve protection from the rain.

    Water repellent properties

    A fabric is water-repellent when water slides off the surface, without seeping in. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to the outer surface, a technique that has been applied to this bucket. If you have to wash your hat, we recommend that you let it dry completely in the open air and leave it flat on a drying rack. Caution: never dry your bucket hat directly on a radiator.

    Breathability

    To find out if a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the RET value, the more water vapour is wicked away through the fabric, and the higher the fabric's breathability.
    We consider that if:
