    How to properly protect your hands from the cold

    In the same way you wear several layers of clothing when hiking, you can wear liner gloves under your gloves that will act as a thermal base layer. This multi-layer system lets several layers of air to form around your hands, efficiently insulating them from the cold!
    Remember to wear large enough gloves to avoid your fingers being constricted. Compression reduces blood circulation that could make your hands colder.

    What is water-repellency and how can you maintain it?

    A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water & stays light, breathable & warm. The water-repellent property is obtained by applying a PFC-free treatment to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the glove (we recommend with every wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

    What does a windproof glove provide?

    These mittens/fingerless gloves are made up of a 100% windproof membrane, ideal for staying warm even in strong winds.
    Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? With an outdoor temperature of 0°C and a 20 km/h wind, the perceived temperature will be -10°C The windproof components reduce the wind chill resulting from the cooling effect of the wind or apparent wind generated by the sporting activity.

    Ease of use of the glove

    A very well-equipped pair of mittens/fingerless gloves:
    - wrist strap that you can simply pull with the opposite hand to secure
    - magnet on the back of the hand to keep the mitten part open
    - loop that you can use to connect your gloves when transporting or storing them
    - silicone grips so that you can grab things easily.

    How to keep your hands warm with the right clothing

    When active, the body generates heat which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of your clothing. If the clothing is inadequate, your body cools and the blood flow to the hands and feet drops in order to keep your upper body warm. Your outfit therefore has a role to play in keeping your hands as warm as possible.
    If you’re unsure about size, it is always better to choose a pair of gloves that are slightly too big than too small.

    Got your liner gloves caught in the rain?

    In this case, dry them in a dry place. Don’t put them on a heat source. This could damage the fibre and they could lose their shape!
