    PRACTICAL INFO: How can I stop snow from making its way into my salopettes?

    The trousers have elasticated gaiters at the ankles to cover the boots. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.

    How should you dress your children to make sure they keep warm on the ski slopes?

    To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: Layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.

    How is waterproofing of the fabric measured?

    The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The fabric of the Salopettes 500 has a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm, meaning it is able to withstand the pressure of 10,000 mm of water.
    For skiing, we recommend components between 3000 mm and 10,000 mm.

    How do I wash my child’s salopettes?

    To optimise your salopette’s performance and durability, we recommend the following:
    Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme.
    Turn the item inside out.
    Use a small amount of detergent. No softener.
    Spin between 800 and 1200 rpm advised.
    Dry flat or tumble dry.
    Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.
