    Ground sheet for the MT900 tunnel tent

    A ground sheet sold separately (reference: 897534) and designed to add additional protection to this MT900 tunnel tent. This extra protection reduces abrasion and improves the waterproofing capacity of the inner tent’s ground sheet, also making it possible to pitch the tent in tarp mode without the inner tent.

    How is the waterproofing of the MT900 2P tunnel tent validated?

    The waterproofing is validated in our laboratory, by placing the tent under a shower, which discharges 200 litres of water per sqm per hour, for three hours, i.e. the equivalent of a tropical rain shower.

    How do you clean and maintain your tent?

    Your tent is designed for itinerant bivouacking, it is therefore not designed for static use in the sun.
    We recommend that you avoid leaving it in the sun as the ultra-light fabrics can be sensitive to UV light, that damages them.

    How do you prevent the risk of condensation inside your MT900 2P tunnel tent?

    This tent has an air vent in the bedroom and an air vent in the porch.
    The vents can be opened or closed as desired from the inside.
    The inner door is lined so it can be used either with the mesh part alone (when it gets hot) or with a full fabric cover for protection when it’s cold.
    It’s therefore important to let as much air circulate as possible to prevent the build-up of condensation inside.

    Inside, a clothesline and two hooks allow you to dry your clothes and hang a headlamp.
    Two pockets on each side make it easy for you to store away small belongings.
    Finally, the awning can be folded to give you a direct view of the outside, from the bedroom.

    Storage tips

    Clean the tent after use and ensure that it’s completely dry before storing it. This will prevent mould and bad odours from forming.

    This MT900 tunnel tent has been validated in the laboratory and in real conditions out in the field. It was used for 5 weeks during the spring of 2025, by 2 teams of testers, that do not belong to Simond, who trekked and bivouacked in the French Alps.
