A warm hunting jacket
This jacket is designed to keep you warm, even when the thermometer shows very low temperatures. Recommended down to -19°C during our laboratory tests (EN ISO 15831:2004 standard), it is made of 170 g/m² wadding on the body and pockets, and 125 g/m² wadding on the sleeves: the cold can come, but you will not feel it!
Silence is the other outstanding feature of this jacket
Right from the start of the design phase, we wanted this jacket to be as quiet as possible. Our textile engineers and stylists were tasked with finding the components and materials to produce frictional noise to below 40 decibels. By way of example, this corresponds to the noise generated by the members of a quiet library.
Silent components
That is why this jacket has special press studs that make less noise than conventional press studs, and zips with self-locking rubber sliders that do not make any noise. But the most important thing to remember is that this model (and the trousers that make up the outfit too - reference 8915861) is the first Solognac jacket with a floating membrane.
What is a floating membrane and what does it do?
See this jacket with 3 superimposed layers: an outer fabric, a floating membrane (that is not bonded to the fabric) and a warm inner lining. The main advantage of floating membrane garments is the protection they provide against the cold. The air between the outer fabric and the membrane acts as insulation, even in very cold temperatures. Another benefit: the membrane does not crackle, so it makes less noise when you move.
Other features to keep in mind
The hood is removable: you can choose to put it on or take it off depending on the weather conditions.
The cuffs on the sleeves have thumb holes.
The jacket (which weighs 2 kg in size L) is opened and closed with a central zip, covered by a flap with silent press studs.
A component on the shoulders provides grip for the weapon’s shoulder strap.
Water repellence of fabric
Even if you are out in the rain and you can feel that the outer fabric is wet and gradually starting to soak up water, you will stay dry. Admittedly, the fabric is not waterproof (it is water-repellent), but the jacket’s 3-layer design means you can hunt in the rain for a while without getting soaked.
Plenty of pockets for all your equipment
This warm hunting jacket has several pockets for easy access to your accessories and/or documents: 2 vertical zipped front pockets, 2 zipped hand pockets, 2 front pockets with flaps, 1 zipped inside pocket and 1 zipped game bag.
