    To what extent is this jacket breathable?

    The JIS L 1099 B1 test measures the water vapour that passes through the fabric in 24h, in grams per sqm. The higher this value is, the more breathable the fabric. A performance rating of 15,000g/sqm/24h, corresponding to a highly breathable fabric, is ideal for walking in the mountains.

    What is the fit of this jacket?

    A fitted cut with raglan sleeves for optimal freedom of movement in the mountains! This design means you can easily layer a fleece or lightweight down jacket underneath, depending on the conditions. Practical tip: choose one size up for comfortable, effective layering.

    What is a membrane fabric?

    The membrane acts like a smart filter: it blocks water from the outside while allowing perspiration to escape. Integrated between the inner and outer layers, it guarantees durability and lasting performance to confidently face the unpredictable weather in the mountains.

    How to look after your jacket

    Do up the zips, turn the jacket inside out, and machine-wash it at 30°C. Use a smaller dose of detergent (preferably one specifically for waterproof clothing) to avoid residues. Rinse again and gently wring out to protect the jacket.

    Why use a ripstop fabric?

    Traditional waterproof jackets keep you dry on the outside, but damp on the inside due to a lack of breathability. This jacket avoids this pitfall thanks to its extremely breathable fabric and side openings that effectively wick away perspiration while you are climbing.

    What are Schmerbers?

    The Schmerber measures the resistance to water pressure: the higher the value, the more waterproof the fabric. With a rating of 20,000mm H2O (Schmerbers), this jacket can withstand a water column of 20m and guarantees optimal protection, even in heavy rain.

    Anything to add about the hood

    Height-adjustable hood with an elastic cord and drawstring. The built-in semi-rigid visor provides optimal protection. Added extra: triangular opening on the side of the hood to improve lateral visibility.
