    The upper extends slightly above the ankle for good foot support. The elastic panels on either side of the ankle make them easy to get on and off.     These ankle boots are not made for horse riding. They do not have a specific heel to hold the stirrup in place. The lugged sole is also unsuitable for equestrian use.
