    What makes this 5 kg training bar special?

    Lightweight, but designed like a pro for weightlifting. The aluminium shaft of this training bar weighs just 5 kg and is 1650 mm long. Everything you need to get started with weightlifting in the right way from the very beginning. Its knurling ensures a firm grip that won’t slip, even after repeated use. 50 mm hard chrome Olympic sleeves, with integrated ball bearings and an oxidised finish on the shaft: everything has been designed to withstand heavy use.

    Why use training bars?

    Before loading, master the basic technique. This 5 kg bar allows you to break down each phase without any dead weight. When performing a snatch, focus on the trajectory, the sharp drop into a squat, and landing with your arms straight. At 1650 mm, it complies with the standard bar spacing: you work on your posture and muscle memory using the same hand position, ensuring consistent progress. You’ll start to get the hang of it right from the very first sessions.

    What accessories should you use with these training bars?

    This bar really comes into its own when used with the training plates from the same range. The 2.5 kg bumper (ref. 8948856) allows you to practise breaking down the movement with minimal load. With the 5 kg (ref. 8948857), you can start making realistic progress. Both comply with the standard Olympic diameter. To ensure safe loading, our plate stoppers (ref. 8485052) secure the assembly and protect the equipment.
