GSM: a key technical criterion for judogi

In judo, the GSM of the uniform is no small matter. A heavy judogi is more resistant to repeated grabs: the seams hold up well; the fabric doesn’t give way. But beyond its resistance, a uniform with 550 GSM also plays a key role in the balance of power: it makes it harder for your opponent to get a grip on you, which tires them out more quickly and makes their holds less effective against you. This adult judogi meets the standard GSM requirement for practitioners looking for high-quality kit.

A fit designed for freedom of movement

Judo is practised both standing up and on the ground, two positions that place very different demands on the shoulders and arms. This uniform features a loose fit at the shoulders to ensure freedom of movement at all times, whatever the combat situation. Throws, hold-downs, strangleholds: the garment fits comfortably without feeling tight or restrictive.

An EVA backing to perfect your holds

The EVA collar backing provides a firm, easy-to-grip surface. It’s a technical detail that makes all the difference in day-to-day practice: stronger holds, more precise technical work, faster progress.
