    A T-shirt with UPF 50+ index: What does this mean?

    UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide. It measures the ability of a fabric or material to filter ultraviolet rays. To comply with EN 131758-1, a UPF 50+ component must block at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays. Our anti-UV t-shirt with a hood is UPF 50+ certified: this guarantees effective protection from the sun.

    Information on UVA and UVB rays

    UVB: these rays act mainly on the upper layer of the skin (the epidermis); they stimulate tanning but are also the direct cause of red blotches and sunburn.

    UVA: these rays penetrate deep into the dermis and activate free radicals. These rays directly attack and destroy the cells. If you expose your skin to UVA rays for too long, it loses its elasticity and skin ageing is accelerated.

    Additional features of this T-shirt

    The t-shirt has a hood to provide greater protection for the neck and skull, while the lower sleeves are lengthened to better cover the back of the hand. The cut is rather loose, so you will be comfortable in all your movements. Finally, even if the garment gets wet (from water or perspiration), the material dries quickly, which is great when you are out hunting for hours, especially when summer approaches.
