About this bridle
The most visible feature of this bridle is the plaiting. The noseband and the straight browband are finished with hand-plaited leather details. That gives a classic look with texture, without any crystals or contrasting colours.
The headpiece is S-shaped and anatomically cut. That S-line curves around the base of the ears instead of pressing straight against it, which creates room for the ears and the poll area and spreads the weight of the bridle more widely.
The noseband is a medium model with a roller buckle and a soft protective pad on the inside. A roller buckle turns with the strap as you pull it through, which makes adjusting smoother and puts less strain on the leather than a fixed buckle. A removable half-inch flash strap hangs beneath the noseband. With the flash attached you have a combined noseband; take it off and you are left with a plain noseband. That way you adapt the same bridle to what your horse needs at that moment.
The cheek buckles sit below the eye, so nothing comes into the horse's field of vision and the overall picture stays calm.
The leather is vegetable-tanned European cowhide with tone-on-tone stitching. Vegetable-tanned leather is firmer at first and breaks in more slowly, but it then takes on the shape of the head and ages well. The buckles are stainless steel.
