Technology and performance

The cassette incorporates Shimano Hyperglide technology which optimises chain engagement and facilitates quick, precise gear changes. This design allows smoother shifts even under load, improving riding comfort and drivetrain efficiency.

Gear range and versatility

Offered in multiple sprocket combinations (e.g. 11-25, 12-28, 11-32, 11-34, 11-42), the CS-HG500 provides spacings suited to varied terrain and rider needs, from fast riding to steep climbs. Configurations include fine progressions for steady pedalling and large sprockets for increased climbing ability.

Materials and durability

Primarily made of steel, the cassette prioritises wear resistance and longevity. The robust construction ensures lasting performance during intensive all-mountain MTB use or versatile riding.

Compatibility and installation
