About this bridle
You judge a working bridle differently from one you only wear at competitions. Above all it has to be reliable: leather that will not stretch, buckles that do not seize up, a fit that still works after hundreds of bridlings. That is what the Working Collection is built on.
The noseband is a combined noseband, meaning a noseband with a flash strap that runs underneath the bit. That flash strap helps keep the bit quiet in place and gives you a little more stability in the connection. Importantly, it is removable. So you are not tied to that choice, and with a horse that dislikes it you simply leave it off.
With young horses in training, that flexibility is handy. You start without the flash strap, or indeed with it, and adjust the bridle later when the training calls for it, without having to buy a second bridle.
The headpiece is anatomically shaped and relieves pressure behind the ears. During long training sessions, or with a horse that is sensitive in the poll, that is the part that makes the biggest difference to how quietly your horse carries its head.
The leather is vegetable-tanned. At first such leather feels a bit stiffer, but it gradually breaks in and then becomes supple while holding its shape. The finish is tone-on-tone, with stainless steel buckles. If you want a uniform look in the yard, this bridle matches the other pieces from the same line.
Reins are not included; you choose those separately.
