Product Description
The Premiere Dax Bridle is a snaffle bridle in quality leather with an anatomically shaped headpiece and a combined noseband. It is intended for riders who train daily and pay attention to fit and finish. Headpiece, browband and noseband are softly padded, and non-slip reins with hand stops are supplied as standard.
About this bridle
The Dax is built around a headpiece that is cut back at the ears. The leather therefore does not sit tightly against the base of the ears, and the poll strap rests more widely on the poll. For horses that react sensitively when you pull the bridle over the ears, that makes a noticeable difference in how the bridle sits.
The noseband is a combined noseband: a noseband with a flash strap underneath. The flash strap runs under the bit and keeps the bit sitting more quietly in the mouth. The noseband itself is anatomically shaped as well, so it follows the contours of the head instead of running straight across it.
All three contact points are softly padded: the headpiece, the browband and the combined noseband. That padding makes sure the pressure of the straps is spread over a larger area and that the edges of the leather do not rest directly on the skin.
The leather is supple and sturdy at the same time. It breaks in with use and moulds to your horse's head, which is most clearly felt at the noseband and the headpiece after a few weeks of riding. As a finishing touch, light-coloured decorative stitching runs along the straps. It gives the bridle a sporty line that does not stand out from a distance, but that up close does make the difference from a completely plain version.
What is special about this model is that the reins are supplied with it. These are non-slip reins with hand stops: the stops give your hand a fixed reference point and keep the rein from sliding through your fingers when it is wet or sweaty. So you do not have to buy separate reins in order to ride.
In use this is a bridle for training and daily work, and it is just as much at home at a competition. It is available in black and brown, in the sizes Cob and Pony.
