Product Description
The Kentucky Anatomic Girth is an anatomically shaped long girth in synthetic leather with an EVA inner layer and no sheepskin. You use it with saddles that have short girth straps, such as jumping saddles. The shape leaves room for the shoulders and elbows, and as the synthetic leather does not absorb dirt, sweat or water, a quick wipe with Tack Cleaner after riding is usually all it needs.
About this girth
Kentucky calls this model the Anatomic Girth. It is a girth for riders who want an anatomical shape without looking after sheepskin: there is no cover to wash or dry. According to Kentucky, the synthetic leather does not absorb dirt, sweat or water and does not discolour. It contains no animal materials.
Around the shoulders and elbows the girth is shaped to leave more room. Inside is a protective layer of EVA, a flexible synthetic foam. There is elastic at both ends, so you can tighten evenly on both sides.
If you ride with a breastplate: the girth has 3 D-rings and a buckle for attaching it.
This girth is the basic version of the Kentucky Sheepskin Anatomic Girth, which has the same anatomical shape with removable sheepskin. Please note: according to Kentucky, the sheepskin cover of that model does not fit this girth. If you think you may want sheepskin later, choose the sheepskin version straight away.
