Design and use

The Shimano XT M8100 2-piston caliper is optimised for XC, offering a balance between light weight and braking power. Its two-piston architecture ensures precise modulation and a linear response suited to cross-country demands.

Pad compatibility

This model follows the same mounting standard as the XT M8000, allowing the use of resin pads (G02A/3A/J02A/3A) and metal pads (G04S/J04C) without modification. This simplifies maintenance and consumable choice depending on terrain and riding style.

Installation and position

The caliper is designed for front or rear mounting, providing great flexibility for integration on different frames and bike configurations. The manufacturer reference (IBRM8100MPRX) allows quick identification of the part for installation or when searching technical documentation.

Design and finish

Adopting the Shimano XT look, the caliper features a subdued, durable black (SCHWARZ) finish designed to blend with high-end components and withstand the demands of XC MTB.
