The Salewa Ortles PTX 3L Jacket is a durable, versatile hardshell with a Powertex membrane, designed for mountaineering, trekking, and a variety of mountain activities. A three-layer laminate construction bonds the Powertex membrane directly to the outer fabric layer, providing full protection against harsh weather. A PFAS-free DWR (durable water-repellent) finish adds moisture resistance, while a 20,000mm waterproof rating keeps you comfortable in rain, snow, and variable mountain conditions. The highly breathable material helps wick away excess heat and moisture during approaches, hikes, and intense activity. Fully sealed seams and a waterproof front zipper enhance protection against water, while two pockets with waterproof zippers provide secure storage for small items. One-handed ventilation zippers on the back of the arms allow you to quickly increase airflow without having to remove the jacket. An elastic storm hood increases head coverage and helps protect against wind and precipitation in challenging terrain.
